Reference appointments and see upcoming or previous events, just by typing # and a time period!
„It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.“
– Henry Ford
Calendar software is a given for organizing your professional life. Yet, it’s still all but easy to coordinate around appointments in your company. That’s why we integrated one of the most used calendar services in the world into ChatGrape: Google Calendar.
But the interesting part is how we did it:
„In our workshops we found out that most people didn’t actually know how they named their appointments in Google Calendar, so we researched a fast way to recognize dates and display results in a matter of milliseconds. A user can now, for example, type #tomorrow, #22 Oct or #this week to instantly see a list of his scheduled meetings of the day. I think this shows pretty well where we are heading with ChatGrape“
– Stefan Kröner, CTO
Things you can do with this integration:
1.) Search by typing the name of an event
With ChatGrape, it is a given that you can search for your service data – just by typing # and writing whatever you remember of your Google Calendar event. You can also use our search bar to simply navigate to your services – straight from within the chat.
2.) Fuzzy search by typing a time period
Some things that you can write to get a list of your appointments:
- #this week
- #next week
- #22 Nov
- #next year
You can then share it with your team or simply use it to quickly get a list of what’s planned for the day.
This is a small glance of where we are heading with ChatGrape: Breaking the communication gap between machine and human – connecting data with human speech. And there are hundreds of ways that we’re exploring and developing to make this integration even better, such as:
- Creating Events within the autocomplete,
- Setting up Reminders,
- Getting activities with upcoming events,
- and much more we’re already working on.
Let us know what Calendar Service you would like to connect with ChatGrape and how you would use it, by writing us (if you’re already set up on ChatGrape) or while signing up for our early access phase.
Have a great weekend!
